Capture Your 365 Day 106: Easter.
(Day 106 was Easter, I'm just a tad late in posting the photo!)
During Easter weekend we went on a wildflower hike in the Mt. Diablo foothills.
This flower, the Mount Diablo Fairy Lantern or Mount Diablo Globe Lily
is endangered and only grows within certain elevations
on the bayside-western slopes of Mt. Diablo.
Each plant is in bloom for only a few months every other year.

Al fresco dinner tonight:
both recipes from Cooking Light.
The wrap was beyond delicious!
The watermelon was sweet and juicy with a bit of a kick.
Watermelon is usually cool and refreshing
so it took a few bites to appreciate the grilled aspect!

I'ts my husband's birthday and we started the day with
Best-Ever French Toast with Maple Apples.
This delicious recipe seems to only be available
to members of the Cooking Light Diet
but a similar recipe can be found here.
My family had a wonderful 4th of July!
We stayed at a local hotel and had front row seats to all
of the fun and festivities including an amazing fireworks show.
I read up on firework photography and, for the first time ever,
was able to get some decent shots!
I would have preferred a longer exposure time
but a street lamp below our balcony added too much light.
I hope to improve my skills and take even better shots next year!

Capture Your 365 Day 97: Spider.
This creepy guy lives near the window blinds in my garage.
He is always upside down. This is actually his underside.
Dinner was planned and prepared by my 10-year-old daughter:
from the March 2017 Cooking Light magazine.
Delicious! Two thumbs up from all 6 of us!
18 Weight Watchers Smart Points for the meal
but my potato was huge and extra cheese was involved.
Follow the recipe and the point count will be much lower!
